It’s been a while, I know it has. I can’t justify the lull in my composition because life has been busy, and it will only get busier; and it has of late. However, I’ve been thinking a lot more lately (I didn’t even know that was possible).
Anyway, it’s been about 60ish days since I relocated to a new state and took my first step into this fabricated domain we call “The Real World,” and I must say I miss the days where all I had to worry about was what I was going to wear to school the next day.
Don’t get me wrong “adulting” is cool but it’s like everytime you reach the top of the mountain you realize that your feat was minuscule and you have so much farther to go to reach your goals.
You realize that no matter how unique your opinion is and how fast track you are on your career path you still have to put in that “pound of flesh” like everyone else.
Experience truly goes a long way.
Honestly, your degree doesn’t mean a damn thing. It’s like your ticket in the door. Once you’re there it’s like,
“What else you got? What now?”
Maturing day by day I’m learning about the benefit of expanding my personal and professional bandwidth. This is from a networking and mental aspect and spiritual aspect.
You have to invest in yourself in order to have continuous improvement in your life.
What you’ve accomplished is cool, but you have to keep going. You have to capitalize on what’s next.
That’s some deep shit.
